Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Strata Jam is a hobby project made for fun. These terms are short because the service is small and the honest summary is: this is an experiment, and we promise nothing.
No warranty of any kind
Strata Jam is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it works, that it will keep working, that it will be available when you want it, that it will preserve anything you make, or that you will enjoy it. It may break in the middle of a session. It may lose your patterns. It may be switched off permanently without warning. Do not rely on it, and do not keep your only copy of anything here.
Use it decently
The editor is shared, so what you type is visible to other people in the room. Don't use Strata Jam to harass anyone, to publish other people's private information, to break the law, or to attack the service or the people using it. We may remove content or revoke access at our discretion, without notice and without owing an explanation.
Your work
You keep whatever rights you have in the patterns you write. By putting them into a shared room you should expect that other participants can see, hear, copy, fork and build on them — that is what a jam is. Don't paste in material you don't have the right to share.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Strata Jam, including lost work, lost time, or lost enthusiasm. If you are dissatisfied with the service, the remedy is to stop using it.
Changes
We may change these terms or the service at any time. Continuing to use Strata Jam after a change means you accept it.
Privacy
What we collect and why is described in the privacy policy. The summary: what you contribute, plus basic profile information from Google or GitHub if you sign in, and nothing else.
